I have been holding off for almost 2 months now to tell everybody who doesn't already know, but I think it's time. It's about my baby girl, our youngest, 11 year old jade, who you may know through family, friends, or being at the moving store and v**e shop, has been diagnosed with diffuse midline glioma. It's a rare brain tumor that's very aggressive with no cure. Anybody who wants to know more can easily google it. Words can't express exactly how we feel. We've been taking it day by day but, it's been a struggle the last 2 months with getting over one obstacle only to have another appear, the latest being a blood clot in her left leg. We spent a few weeks at the Iowa city children's hospital followed by a month and a half at the ronald Mcdonald house and the awesome people there. Jade definitely made a few friends there. She's done 6 weeks of radiation therapy. Chemo therapy isn't an option but hopefully there's a clinical trial she can qualify for. We've gotten a fair about of things needed at present for her and her make a wish is for a trip to see the Alamo in Texas, who we are working with to make that happen. Anything after that, we're paying for a there's a lot out there and family everywhere for her to see and so we're trying to fit a lifetime into a summer. Anybody who would like to see her, get ahold of me and we can see about making that happen. I've also had a lot of people reach out wanting to help out so my cousin, Myrissa Liedtke, made a spotfund page for her. If you would like to do that, they ask for donation to keep the site running, but I believe that is optional. Our town and school district, alwood, have been amazingly supportive for her and the softball team dedicated their season to jade and I can't thank them enough for helping us and working with us when it comes to jemma, amber, and racheal. Our little town is just amazing. There have been others, you know who you are, and I can't thank everybody enough. We're trying to make sure that anything jade wants (within reason) to do, see, buy, etc, she gets while she still can do things. Everything goes for her and her needs so hopefully she can be as happy as she can be. She still loves to give it hugs and tell you all about her favorite new pets, axolotls, who are named toothless, void, and deadfish. If you made it this far, say a prayer, or whatever it is you do, for her. She can use anything she can get at this point so thank you for reading and caring. We're going to cherish all the time we have left with her
