The NHRA Gatornationals, an annual NHRA drag race event, was held at Gainesville Raceway this past weekend. Safety-Kleen helped power top finisher Antron Brown, as well as second-place finisher Shawn Langdon. In addition, Safety-Kleen Motorsports collected over 2,000 gallons of used motor oil during the event to be sent to our nearby Ocala Oil Terminal. Our BPS Service Delivery Manager Alex Hilley works with Program Manager Drew Patey to coordinate world class service for this event every year.

INDYCAR kicked off their season last weekend with the Firestone Grand Prix on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida. Safety-Kleen Motorsports was of course on hand, set up and ready to reclaim all the fluids the teams produce. This included Team Penske, pictured in the Recycle Center. A big congrats to Kyle Busch, who drove the Safety-Kleen sponsored Spire Motorsports Chevy to victory lane over the weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. This marks the eighth trophy for Busch at the track in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, a terrific accomplishment!

Safety-Kleen Motorsports was front and center at Daytona 500 weekend! On Saturday, Thad Moffitt drove the 46 Toyota in the season-opening race for the ARCA Menards Series, marking the first time the Safety-Kleen brand has been the primary scheme for a car at Daytona.

On Sunday, Jimmy Johnson and the Legacy Motor Club (co-owned by Richard Petty and others) finished third overall. Safety-Kleen is a sponsor of Legacy Motor Club as their official environmental company.

Safety-Kleen-serviced JR Motorsports had a strong showing in both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and Cup Series, with their first ever Cup Series entry finishing in the top 10.

It was an honor to once again support so many teams and drivers across the entire racing world. We’re excited for all that’s in store for Safety-Kleen Motorsports in 2025.

We’re excited to be featured on Netflix's new series, “Resurrected Rides,” with comedian Chris Redd and his garage team, which is now streaming! Keep an eye out for crew members using our parts washer (like in the picture below), absorbents and Performance Plus lubricants. We also worked with the cast to collect their used motor oil – that will be used to create our KLEEN+ re-refined base oil – along with oil filters and paint waste that will all be recycled.

He gives a look at the Safety-Kleen operations at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway before the USA TODAY 301 NASCAR Cup Series.

Year-round operations include used oil collection, parts washer services, and absorbent material and oil filter collection.

The NHRA New England Nationals drag weekend proved to be a great success. Not only did Safety-Kleen sponsored driver Doug Kalitta from Kalitta Motorsports earn the Top Fuel title, we also collected 1,400 gallons of used motor oil to be re-refined into clean motor oil!
