Effective immediately, our winter post office box access hours are as followed:

Monday through Friday 7:30am-6pm
Saturday 8am-5pm

Closed Sunday and holidays.

Also, just a quick reminder that the dumpsters behind Bakers Store are for the store, post office, and the tenants ONLY. Please stop dumping your trash here. We do have cameras watching this area.

Another reminder, please do not use the back of Bakers parking lot to park your cars. We have plows that need access to the back and the cars and trailers there will cause issues.

The post office lobby area will be accessible the following hours:

•Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm
•Saturdays from 7am to 6pm

It will be closed on Sundays and holidays.

You can enter through the front door like normal to access your PO Box!

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Baker's Store will be closing the doors on Sunday 18 September.

The past two years have been an adventure trying to navigate owning two stores during a time of supply, inflation, and staffing shortages. Our team has done a great job at providing coverage and stepping up to continue to serve everyone that has come in. We cannot thank them enough for the time and effort they have put in to keep the stores going. As many are aware, we lost a significant amount of money operating Village Store. We were able to keep it open by leveraging money from Baker's Store and by offering gas. We have been working to get the gas contract sorted out for two years, however, they continue to drag their feet on the negotiations. We have not been able to recover from the losses we experienced at Village with the loss of fuel revenue. The loss of fuel significantly impacted our summer revenue that is used to get the store by during the slower months.

We listed Baker's Store for sale at the same time as Village Store. We are hoping to get the property leased or sold so that the store can be reopened to provide goods and services back to the community. We are close to done with contract negotiations, so hoping we can pass this progress off to new owners so they can have a contract in place to get gas back ASAP.

Owning a business is always a fun adventure with many hurdles to overcome. While it has been challenging, we have met a lot of great people and have appreciated all the love and support from the community. We have enjoyed becoming a part of the community, providing quality products and services to everyone, and finding new things to bring in!

For those that use the Post Office at Baker's Store, that will remain open and we will have a way to keep the P.O. boxes accessible for those that cannot make it during the normal Post Office hours. We will post signage and direction on how to check your mail once we get it figured out this weekend.

We appreciate everyone that has supported us! Remember to continue to shop local and support the small businesses of the area!

We will have “famous bowls” tonight! Mashed potatoes topped with popcorn chicken, corn, cheese, and gravy starting around 5pm, you can find them in the hot box. Don’t forget to stop by King Kone afterwards for half priced hard scoop ice cream.

Couple of updates!

We got our new ovens and are waiting for them to be hooked up, so the deli will not be open for dinners this week. We are hoping to get staff trained up, and the ovens running by the end of the week. We should be back for dinners next week. Lunch will still be available today and tomorrow!

If you are interested in taking on some hours in the deli, send us a message or grab an application from the front counter!

Also, due to weather, King Kone will be closed today. Be on the lookout for updated hours as schools return in the coming days/weeks! 🍦
