home-style variety store offers everything from breakfast, to lunch, to dinner, and has its own in house bakery, Sweets 'n Treats, with loads of goodies for your sweet tooth. We also offer a large catering menu, appealing to business breakfasts and lunches, and home catering, for that special party. Anania's has been voted Best Greater Portland Deli for 16 years running.

Thanks to everyone for a great final week and an amazing 61 years on Congress Street!!

Anania’s Washington Ave will now open at 530am M-F, and at 6am on Saturdays.

All Anania’s gift cards are redeemable at Anania’s Washington Ave.

Our Sweets ‘n Treats whoopie pies and baked goods will continue to be sold at Anania’s Washington Ave and

UPDATE: We know that many of you heard the recent news that we would be retiring and closing the Congress Street Anania’s on 12/24. Since the news broke, we’ve received an outpouring of kind words and seen many familiar faces in the store, and the support has been so appreciated!

However, following the news, we accepted an offer on the store and, unfortunately, we’ll now be closing on Friday 11/15.  We’re very sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but we’re excited for the plans that the buyer has for the future!

Running the Congress Street store and serving the Libbytown and Greater Portland community for 60 plus years has been an incredible honor for three generations of our family.  We’re so thankful for our loyal customers and the hundreds of employees that have been a part of our team over the years.  We’ve put our heart and soul into this business and have so many wonderful memories!

Please continue to visit our team at 606 Washington Avenue, which will remain “Anania’s” under the very capable ownership and management of Zach Lord!
