With sadness and and equal amount of gratitude for the time that we have had, we are saying goodbye to our 1st. Our 1st big thing we’ve ever done together and for the community. We’ve cherished our time as YOUR market. This store was nothing when we bought it. We turned it into something, a place people could go to get what they needed, but also a space to talk, feel comfortable and to be seen. We sure hope that we have provided everyone with what we have believed it to be for the last four years.
We have gone through a lot owning this business; snow storms, heat waves and water donations, shootings, multiple break-ins, vandalism, customers have died and we have grieved, but also so much love. We have had food brought to us, stories told to us, hugs given to us, a beautiful mural made for all of us, music played for us, donations given to us, humanity restored in us, smiles smiled at us, relationships made with us, and so much support for us. But we wouldn’t be us us without you.
Home of “Drinking With Duck” and our collaborations with Taking Ownership PDX, Steeplejack Brewing, Portland Gear, Prosper Portland, PYB, and Black United Fund have all helped shaped who we are today. We will never forget our time in the Woodlawn Neighborhood and hold it dear to our hearts.
Our whole Black Rose family is saying goodbye. We are still, and will forever be, “the best friends you never knew you had.”

We are still here, at Black Rose Liquor and will continue to be involved in the Portland community.

We will miss our NE community and if you see us in the streets say hello ✌🏽

This super awesome person was very upset we weren’t a liquor store. As you can see they compared us to a gas station with wine. We would LOVE nothing more but for our amazing customers to write their own reviews about our store. We know it’s a great place and really don’t want their lame review tarnish our rep. Who’s down for a nice review rebuttal roast?! 🌹 ✌🏽
