In 1956 Joseph Gerard and his wife Margaret purchased from William Lott a small liquor store on Bridge Avenue in Point Pleasant at the foot of the Lovelandtown Bridge. Gerard who owned the Blue Front Market in Seaside Park bought the store as an investment and future business venture for his son and son-in-law who were both recently discharged from the armed service. At the time of the purchase a

corporation was registered as "Gerard's Liquor Store" with the members being Joseph Gerard, Margaret Gerard, Dolores Stephens and Joseph A. Stephens son of Dolores Stephens and Grandson of Joseph Gerard bought the store after the death of his father Ralph and his uncle Joe. His Grandfather Joseph Gerard became semi-retired and in 1998 he died. Gerard's continues to be a quality, family-run operation with a great full-service staff and an unbelievable selection of wine and spirits'. We’re looking for cashiers to provide customers with fast and friendly service.
Previous liquor store experience, as well as knowledge of wine, craft beer, and liquor is a plus!
You will assist in stocking and maintaining inventory. You will assist customers with product selection and facilitate customer transactions. You will be involved in maintaining store safety and cleanliness standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, kitchen, bathroom, etc
Full time and Part time positions available!
QUALIFICATIONS
* Ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
* Available weekends and holidays
* Must have a valid drivers license, as you may need to make deliveries using the company vehicle.

Positions are available for part time/full time staff members for Gerards Wine & Spirits.

We are looking for people who are friendly, outgoing and have good customer service skills. You must be able to work some nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.

Previous liquor store experience, as well as knowledge of wine, craft beer and liquor is a plus! You must be able to lift up to 40lbs, be able to stand for 8+ hours, and have reliable transportation.

Finally, you must have a valid drivers license, as you may need to make deliveries using the company vehicle.
