We're cracking open some bottles tomorrow, March 22nd from 4-7pm! We're pouring Garnatxa Blanca, Grüner Veltliner, Verdicchio, Saperavi, Gamay, and a Piedmont Blend. These grape varietals make the perfect wines to sip on while waiting for the warmer weather just around the corner...

Cesanese (Chae-sah-nae-say) is our new obsession! This grape, grown almost exclusively in Lazio, Italy, is likely what the Ancient Romans were drinking. Now is your chance to try it for yourself! Amarasco by Principe Pallavicini is 100% Cesanese and pours a beatifully deep garnet. We found notes of chocolate covered cherries and fresh pipe to***co on the nose. The moderate acidity and well balanced tannins make it the perfect companion for red meats and hearty vegetables. Pick one up before we run out of the 2013 vintage!

New to the shelf: Pommeau de Normandie from Claque-Pépin!

What is Pommeau? Calvados, a Brandy made from distilled apple cider, is mixed in with unfermented Apple "must" and aged for a minimum of 14 months. The result is an elegant apéritif which marries the bright, sweet, and refreshing taste of apple with rich notes of dates, raisins, and butterscotch. If you're a fan of fortified wines like port and sherry, then this is a must try! Pick up a bottle from us, a hearty chunk of Brie or blue cheese from next door, curl up close to the fireplace, and call it a cozy evening!
