REDBREAST MISSOURI OAK EDITION

Redbreast Missouri Oak Edition, the latest addition to Redbreast’s esteemed American Oak series, seamlessly blends the signature Redbreast single pot still whiskey profile, aged in sherry and ex-bourbon barrels, with the unique and distinctive influence of Missouri Oak. The whiskey was meticulously finished for ten months in Virgin Missouri Oak barrels, the oak sourced from the esteemed Ozark Forest, to bring a captivating twist to the renowned Redbreast liquid.

NOSE
Generous waves of sweet toffee apple and vanilla at first, closely followed by ripe blackcurrants and black cherries. The American oak enhances the pot still spices with additional notes of cinnamon and ground ginger, while nutty undertones akin to pecan pie linger gently in the background.

TASTE
Rich with oak tannins that slowly subside, giving way to the luscious and creamy texture of this wonderfully balanced pot still whiskey. The sweetness continues to build in tandem with spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, and black peppercorns along with rich berry fruits and vanilla cream.

FINISH
Satisfyingly long, with the nuttiness and pot still spices lingering for a time before finally yielding to the oak.

People of Downtown Plano: Meet Ankit and Divya Jain, the husband-and-wife owners of Liquid Courage Spirits and More. You may run into Ankit in the store handling daily operations, while Divya oversees marketing and promotions.

The Plano residents are proud of the “unicorns” (hard-to-find-items) that their liquor store offers, as well as their concierge-style service and the offer of free tastings before purchase.

“Downtown Plano offers a small community experience where you have quick access to good food, drinks, music and shopping. It's convenient for us to just walk from our store and take out our vendors for coffee, lunch and drinks without thinking twice on whether they'll enjoy it or not,” said Ankit.

Decanter Barrel Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Re-released in 2023, the Decanter bottle is a recreation of a historic bottle produced at our distillery in 1945. Its design highlights the rich color of the whiskies we produce due to our lower barrel entry proof and use of the finest cooperage.

Unique blends of our older stocks & distinct mash bills, consisting of Corn, Rye, Malted Barley & Malted Rye; Aged in new toasted & charred barrels made from Kentucky Oak, air seasoned a minimum of 18-24 months; Water source from the historic distillery well. Distilled & bottled at the historic James E. Pepper Distillery (DSP-KY-5) in Lexington, Kentucky. Average age of whiskies is over 5 years old; bottled straight from the barrel, uncut & unfiltered.

Nose: Toasted oak, walnuts
Palate: Oak, dried dark fruits, marzipan
Finish: Medium-long with notes of creamy vanilla, citrus peel and nutmeg

BOOKER’S 2024 - 01, “SPRINGFIELD BATCH”

MASTER DISTILLER NOTES
The first Booker’s batch of 2024 is called the Springfield Batch to honor my dad’s hometown of Springfield, Kentucky. This rural town in central Kentucky is where Booker Noe, my dad was born and raised. He worked on many farms when he was growing up, from the hay fields to to***co patches. The batch is made up of 5 production dates stored in 4 different aging warehouses. The age is 7 years, 7 Months, 8 days and is 124.5 proof. The breakdown of barrel storage for Booker’s “Springfield Batch” is as follows:
17% came from the 5th floor of 9-story warehouse G
7% came from the 4th floor of 9-story warehouse H
31% came from the 5th floor of 7-story warehouse Z
45% came from the 4th floor of 7-story warehouse 3
The color of this Booker’s batch is a rich golden amber from over 7 years of aging in the new white oak barrels. The nose has a nice, pleasant aroma of sweet brown sugars and vanilla. The taste is balanced with a pleasant heat. The finish is long and warm which I appreciated during the cold days we experienced in January here in Kentucky. I know Dad would love tasting this batch and sharing stories about his hometown. I hope you enjoy this first batch of Booker’s for 2024.

TASTING NOTES
Hints of strawberry, citrus and sweet grass on the nose with a delicate hint of savory herb. Bright and lively on the palate, with a round, fruit-focused mid palate highlighting pomegranate and floral notes and framed by vibrant acidity.

BASIL HAYDEN SUBTLE SMOKE

Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke features the same high-rye mash bill that Basil Hayden loyalists know and love, but uses secondary aging to deliver a unique, layered flavor with a refined hint of smokiness.

We begin by toasting and lightly charring the secondary barrel. This is followed by delicately igniting hickory-smoked chips at a constant feed to produce smoke, which is then pumped into the barrel, resulting in notes of soft char and light butterscotch. This unique flavor provides a smoother, more subtle take on smoky spirits, and creates the perfectly sophisticated, yet approachable introduction to both bourbon and Basil Hayden.
