Thank you for the amazing journey!
God fifteen years ago, blessed us by answering our prayers for a family opportunity to share our love of wine and food. God’s ways are not man’s or woman’s ways so it’s with heavy hearts we write this note. We will be closing Pittsford Wine and Spirits and Via Girasole Wine Bar in January 2024.
Since we cannot renew our leases, it means it is time for us to say "we'll see you later" to all of our wonderful and supportive patrons. It is with the sincerest gratitude that we say, "thank you" to each of you who have continued to support us all these years.
This was not a decision we took lightly, and we wish we had a more uplifting ending, especially for our incredible employees and musicians—aka our family here at both of our businesses.
As you know, we have poured our hearts and souls into these businesses and have loved growing and partnering with other establishments in the community. We have loved watching your families flourish and grow over the years. We are so fortunate to have made friendships along the way that have turned into family. For that we are most grateful and honored.
As we reflect on all the wonderful and monumental moments that happened, not only for us but for everyone else who joined us, we have tears in our eyes. Those who had their first dates or first kisses. Those who celebrated life’s significant events like baby or bridal showers, birthday or engagement parties or rehearsal dinners…the list goes on. We are so honored to have been a part of them all.
We have been able to be part of a wine community with on-staff sommeliers who gave knowledge to those seeking. We established wine clubs, hosted wine maker dinners, took you on wine tasting cruises, and created an overall love for the wine and spirits world with all of you. We’ve loved opening our establishment to “sip and shop” events to support small local businesses. We know it is extremely sad to be walking away from these special places that many hold near and dear to their hearts, “your happy place.”
We wouldn't have been such a staple in this community without the support from all of you. As we prepare to say goodbye, we'd love for you to stop in pick up what you need for the holidays and enjoy some wine, beer or cider and share memories over the next few weeks.
Keep an eye out for our updates as we continue to move forward.
Until we meet again!
Nicole, Angelo and Marie
