🥃 Our Wigle Resere Pennsylvania Straight Rye is made from regional rye, wheat and malted barley. As with all of our Whiskeys, Wigle makes this spirit from scratch from regional ingredients. Wigle mills, ferments and pot-distills all of our products at our distillery in Pittsburgh’s Historic Strip District. Aged for 4 years, this spirit can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in your favorite whiskey cocktail.

This Rye Whiskey takes its cues from the original American Whiskey, Monongahela Rye. Western Pennsylvania produced this style of Rye for nearly 200 years.
Wigle Reserve is Wigle’s next evolution of small-batch, hand-crafted Whiskey and unwavering commitment to producing artisanal, premium whiskey.

🥃 2025 Phil’s Shadow Maple Finished Whiskey Releases January 18th!

We are excited to officially announce the 2025 Wigle bottle release of Phil’s Shadow Maple Barrel Finished Whiskey! This whiskey, in partnership with the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club, celebrates two Pennsylvania institutions & honors the eccentric traditions of our beloved Keystone State! To pay homage to world-famous Groundhog Phil, we combined our award-winning Pennsylvania Straight Rye Whiskey and the tradition of Pennsylvania maple syrup production to create a bold, spicy spirit complemented by a pronounced, rich maple sweetness. We aged this Rye Whiskey for over years in new charred oak barrels for 4 years, before finishing it in maple syrup barrels.

Using ONLY local Pittsburgh ingredients that are true to our region’s history, Single Barrel Honey Finished Rye is a quintessentially Pittsburgh spirit! Our Wigle Rye Whiskey aged for 6 years was finished in Black Locust Honey coated barrels to create a one of a kind spirit.

We began working on our collaboration in early 2024. With the Shop 412 team, we selected a very special single barrel. After sampling countless honeys and whiskey barrels at different proofs, we dialed into just the right combination.

By June the original liquid was ready to be transferred into the honey-coated barrels where it sat through the changing of the seasons, swelling in the humid Pittsburgh summer days, cooling in the chilly nights of fall. During that time it was infused with notes of oak, honey, and toasted oak.

This limited release is now available online for shipping in PA & DC, at The Distillery in The Strip District and will be available at Shop 412 this Saturday beginning at 11 AM!
