Domaine Horgelus Colombard-Sauvignon 2023
An exquisite marriage of Colombard & Sauvignon Blanc combine for a flavorful & refreshing wine with strong grapefruit, pineapple & floral aromas on the nose. All around a very approachable, easy-drinking wine. This wine is an excellent choice for sushi & shellfish. The fruitiness of this wine makes it a perfect offset for Moroccan-style couscous dishes & tagines as well as spicy Indian food. It also pairs beautifully with appetizers like croquettes or nachos.
Les Caves Richemer Viognier 2023
Shiny golden color with green hues. Complex & rich aromas of apricot, white peach & honey on the nose. On the palate, this wine expresses the typicity of a Mediterranean Viognier very well, with roundness & balance. Great as an aperitif, this wine's flavors of stone fruit & honey pair well with tender turkey & chicken as well as shrimp & fish. This Viognier also pairs well with spicy Thai or Indian food.
L. Tramier & Fils Mâcon-Villages 2022
Ripe fruit & floral nose. On the palate, it begins with smooth yet crisp notes of grapefruit & lemon followed by rich texture giving place to hints of honey & white flowers. The finish is long thanks to good acidity levels. This wine pairs nicely with smoked salmon, mixed salads, sushi, poultry & veal in cream sauce, creamy risotto or goat cheese.
L. Tramier & Fils Bourgogne Chardonnay
Dry white wine with well-balanced acidity & a crisp finish. Fresh, fruity & well-developed on the nose. On the palate, a fruity, supple attack with hints of grapefruit & lemon. The elegant nature of this wine makes it perfect for light & delicate food such as raw and lightly-cooked shellfish like crab & shrimp and grilled fish. This wine also pairs well with pasta, risotto, spring vegetables or creamy soups.
L. Tramier & Fils Coteaux Bourguignons
Nice pale robe, the nose is discreet yet intense with hints of white flowers & honey. The wine expresses minerality & length on the palate with a nice balance of acidity on the finish. This is a great aperitif wine, but it also pairs well with pasta, cured meats, pork, chicken, rich fish like salmon & tuna as well as soft cheeses.
E. Traber Riesling
Intense & aromatic on the nose with flavors of green apple, lime zest & white peach accompanied by floral notes of jasmine & honeysuckle as well as a subtle minerality. Medium-dry with vibrant acidity and a long, clean finish. A wonderful gastronomic wine, it pairs perfectly with grilled scallops, sushi, roast chicken, pork schnitzel with apples and also a nice complement to SE Asian cuisine. While the wine is enjoyable young, it can also age for 5-6 years to enhance complexity & depth.
E. Traber Pinot Gris
Expressive & rich on the nose with aromas of ripe pear, honey & fresh almonds. Floral hints & a touch of smokiness. Medium-to-full bodied with flavors of ripe stone fruits, honey & a touch of ginger on the palate. The distinct minerality of this wine adds depth with a well-integrated slight sweetness, enhancing the fruit flavors without overwhelming the palate. This wine's sweetness enhances the savory & sweet flavors of pork chops with caramelized onions, roast duck with apricot glaze or butternut squash soup. The rich texture complements the umami flavors of mushroom risotto. This also pairs well with aged Gouda or creamy Brie. It's also great paired with foie gras.
L. Tramier & Fils Côte-de-Brouilly 2021
The wine shows a bright ruby red & purple robe. First nose of red fruit like cherry, raspberry & strawberry as well as floral aromas of violet & peony with subtle hints of herbs & spices. This is a light-to-medium bodied red wine with well-balanced acidity & soft, smooth tannins that don't overpower the fruit. This easy-drinking wine is the perfect match for lighter fares like backyard barbecues, Sunday brunch, pizza parties & picnic potlucks. Also pairs well with charcuterie boards, roast chicken or mushroom risotto.
L. Tramier & Fils Pinot Noir 2022
The result of this Pinot blend is a delightful ruby-colored wine with an elegant black-tea spice & ripe red berries on the nose & palate. The wine is very smooth & delicate with a nice soft finish. The fruitiness of Pinot from the Burgundy region pairs with salmon, roasted chicken or pasta dishes, while the more tannic Pinot from the Rhône region also make it ideal for turkey, duck & bœuf bourguignon.
Château Carbonneau La Franc Touch
The nose presents a mixture of fresh red berries, mint & violets. This wine best expresses the liveliness of Cabernet Franc, ripe & fresh. The palate shows plenty of acidity, which gives length to the wine and balances the sweetness & fullness of the fruit. Pairs well with hearty stews, wild game, grilled meats or hard cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano.
Château Carbonneau Sequoia 2022
Aromas of black plums, blackberries, bay leaves, cloves & to***co. It is medium bodied with firm, tightly-knit tannins. Framed & fresh. This wine has a robust structure that pairs well with a juicy steak, lamb, pork chops & turkey. Other dishes that pair well include chicken and spaghetti in a tomato sauce.
Le Grand Valmal Vieilles Vignes 2022
This wine is made with 40+ year-old vines that offer great aromatic complexity & deep ruby color to the wine. The flavors are earthy with nice spices & dark fruit. The wine offers great tannic structure & length due to both the late ripening of the grapes and the extraction process during the maceration. Game meat like venison & lamb pair nicely with this wine. The robust structure brought on by the 12-month aging help it pair with red meat or mushroom risotto as well as pungent cheeses like Camembert.
Château Fontana Bordeaux Rouge 2021
With a burst of fresh fruitiness on the nose, this wine is very expressive. The short maceration brings nice texture on the palate followed by the intensity of raspberry, blackberry & cherry found on the nose. The tannins are robust yet smooth on the palate while the fruit fully expresses itself on the finish. This rich, full-bodied red wine pairs nicely with red meat like steak & lamb as well as leaner meat like pork & duck. It can also be paired with a wide range of appetizers from cheese & charcuterie boards to mushroom crostini to grilled sliders
