Hello, my Inspired Brews booch-lovers:
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
At Inspired Brews, we built a business on integrating our flavors to the rhythm of the seasons in Philly – strawberries and cream in the summer; pumpkin spice in the fall; rooted in the winter, fenneldelpia year-round… Each flavor unique, different, and reflective of the season.
Unfortunately, this season of life leads me to have to share the news that we will be closing Inspired Brews permanently. *You* have been a source of inspiration to us over these past years.
There are no words to express the extent of my gratitude, but I will try. I am thankful that you once said yes to my dream. You gave our brews a shot and picked up a bottle (or more!), maybe even when you had no idea what kombucha was (or how to pronounce it!). And then, you came back for more. You told your friends about us, you posted about us on social media, you made us feel loved (!) and you were a part of growing a community in Philadelphia around good bubbly fermented beverages. You were loyal and supportive.
My team and I have gotten to know some of you well over the past 6.5 years and I’m so glad that we were able to meet you, share a glass or flight of booch with you at the Fermentary, serve you an icy kombucha slushie, or teach you the intricacies and mysteries of kombucha. We are so honored to have worked directly with a lot of the coolest companies, entrepreneurs, farms, and people serving this city!
So, I raise my freshly-fermented glass (o’ booch) and say CHEERS TO YOU for a good season (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). It was one of my favorite seasons so far (kind of like that feeling when you think about sweater weather, the first trip down the shore, or when blueberries are local and ripe). I’m going to miss drinking our kombucha with you, Philly, but I’ll remember my time with Inspired Brews as sweet (with a slightly vinegary-bubbly kick, like kombucha of c
