A reminder we will be closed Thanksgiving Day, but we are operating as normal the rest of the week. Make sure to stop in and grab any last minute supplies for your Thanksgiving dinners and of course any last minute "beverage" pickups.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and we are offering Fresh Pies again this year. The pies come from The Coffee Pot in Greenville. Due to some business changes currently happening we are only taking orders for a select number of pies. If your are interested stop in to the store to place your order.
We have Peanut Butter, Sugar Cream, Pecan, Apple, and Pumpkin Pies to offer.
We will also be offering Pies for Christmas, but we will wait to take orders until after Thanksgiving week.

Treaty City is running their 78th Annual Peace Pipe Enduro this Sunday. So, the store hours will be 9-4 this Sunday.
Be prepared to hear bikes riding around and make sure you pay attention on all back roads while you're driving around.

A few events happening this month. The Church here in town is turning 150 years old and they are holding a lunch after church service. And our Treat in the Park is back on as Halloween is right around the corner. Head down to the park in your best outfits and pass out some candy.
Last but not least.....Powerball Jackpot is at 1.4 BILLION DOLLARS. Stop in before Saturday evening to secure a chance to be Palestine's Richest Resident.

Store Updates for next week.
Friday (9/1) We will be opening up an hour late, so from 930-8.
Then we will be closed Labor Day Monday (9/3). So make sure you stop and for your Labor Day needs on Saturday or Sunday.

To Palestine and Hollansburg residents, those having to hook up for sewer are strongly urged to apply for the grant funding regardless of where you are financially. There is a lot of money to help everyone afford the sewer hookups, take advantage of it. The worst that could happen is you get denied for the grant, so please apply. If you having any questions about the grant or are not sure what you need to apply, the Officer in charge of the grants, Ms. Laux, will be at the Palestine Community Building on August 19th from 1-4.
All grant applications are due by this Sunday. So, again I strongly urge that you apply and at minimum give yourself a chance to relieve some of the cost from sewer hook-ups, and for any questions stop into the Village Building this Saturday.

With the Great Darke County Fair around the corner, there are a few other things happening in the area the next month or two. Tri-Village starts up soon, so it looks like they are helping students get ready for the school year. Along with a few motorcycle events at Treaty City Motorcycle Club and the Cedar Grove Church.

If today goes to plan....roadwork in Palestine will be finished. All roads will be patched and ready to go by tonight/tomorrow.

Road Work Continued.....
Work will continue on 36 tomorrow. Then depending on the weather Friday, will determine if they finish work on 36 Friday or Monday. After that they will continue working on the rest of town, most likely Palestine-Richmond/Palestine-Union City Road.
Be prepared for more traffic the next few days.
