Marks Pantry & Bottle Shop will be closing its doors at the end of August.

Two and a half years ago, when the world changed, so did we - pivoting from restaurant operations to a specialty food and wine shop. This was the best way for us to share our love of community with you. As life continues to change, we are excited by the possibilities and are working on new ways to be involved in the community and to bring new life to the building.
We have loved being a part of your lives for 20 years and are grateful to everyone who has been with us on this journey. Your support of Marks has meant everything, and we are so very thankful to you for that!
We’ll be open with our regular business hours through August 27th (as long as we still have inventory), so please stop in so we can thank you in person.

If you’ve had excellent chicken at any of Omaha’s great restaurants, there’s a good chance it came from Plum Creek Farms. This purveyor located near Bruchard, Nebraska has been supplying free-range chickens (and eggs!) raised without hormones or antibiotics since 2003.

Don’t be afraid to cook lamb! These Frenched rib chops are tender and flavorful, and they work well in lots of different applications.

Need a place to start? Try pan-roasting them to an internal temp of 130 for medium. Slice some delicata squash into 1” thick half-moons, toss in canola oil, season with salt, and roast in a 425-degree oven for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through. Top with fresh mint and serve with steamed rice or a side salad for a shockingly easy meal that feels decadent!

If you’ve got a tin of scallops, you’re halfway to a delightful tapas spread. Try them simply on a toaster hash brown patty with some roasted red peppers, or serve warm over pan-seared slices of chorizo.

For a little more indulgence, pan-fry scallops in butter, top with bleu cheese, melt under the broiler, and serve with crusty bread.
