If you have been following us for a while, you know how much we LOVE DURIGUTTI Winemakers! Well guess what... we are CLEARLY not the only ones as they have won #10 best vineyard in the WORLD in 2024!!

No wonder we have 2 of their wines that will be featured in our Wine Awards on February 8!

In the whites, we have their Viognier and in the reds we have their Inframundo Red Blend.

Little reminder of what is our Wine Award Event if you had not yet heard about it:

The event happens at Milla's at Making It Matthews located at 53 Laurel Pass, Ocala (right behind Burnyzz on Baseline)

During this Wine Awards Event, you get to taste all 12 awarded wines (2 ounce pours of each!) paired with food; 4 whites paired with charcuterie and cheese and 8 reds EACH paired with a different plate of wonderful food!

The caterer this year will be POSH Home Dining with Chef Stefanie and Chef James Read!

We have started working on our customized menu and, oh my God, you will be in for a treat! We will be revealing more on that side next month!

Here's a reminder of the awarded wines so far:
Whites:
-Durigutti - Viognier
-Luzon Colleccione - Blanco (50% Macabeo, 50% Sauvignon Blanc)
-Willm - Alsace Reisling

Reds:
-Veglio - Barbera D'Alba
-Marchesi Biscardo - Corvina
-Abazia Di Novacella - Lagrein
-Jungano - Aglianico
-Hearst Ranch - Three Sisters Cuvée (Blend of Grenache, Monastrel (Mourvedre), Syrah and Petite Sirah)
-Durigutti - Inframundo (Blend of 65% petit verdot, 25% Malbec, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Charbono)
-Vilafonte - Seriously Old Dirt (Blend of 88% Cabernet, 8% Malbec, 2% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc)
-Tayu 1865 - Pinot Noir

Like last year, you also get your personal voting card so you get to decide which wines (1 white and 1 red) wins the competition.

A photographer (Every.Last.Detail, winner of Best of the 352 in 2024) will also be there to ensure you get memorable souvenirs of this evening.

What is our Wine awards?
Every month, Alex & I determine amongst the many wines we sample which one deserves a spotlight. 4 whites and 8 reds are selected throughout the year. 🍷

During the Wine Awards, the whites are paired with a special selection of charcuterie and cheese while the reds are EACH paired with a different plate of upscale food! This year, our caterer is POSH Home Dining and let me tell you, the menu they have elaborated so far is beyond this world!

You will feel like a celebrity upon your arrival with our red carpet themed pictures taken by Every.Last.Detail (winner of the Best of the 352 Photographer in 2024!) and memories will be captured all through the evening!

YOU HAVE YOUR WORD TO SAY!! You will decide which White and which Red is the best of the evening with your personal voting card. Results are disclosed the same evening and the Top 3 wines will be feature in our store for the following months!
