Dear Colleague,

This year there is an urgent but little-recognized danger on the NY State November 5th ballot that we bring to your attention.

Ballot Proposal 1, despite its label as a NY State constitutional “equal rights” amendment, is dangerous to children and to women’s sports, and a threat to parental rights.

If Proposal 1 is passed, courts would be free to interpret it as permitting minors to undertake gender change treatments and surgeries without parental notice or consent. There is already NY State Education Department guidance to schools to keep parents unaware of gender change steps in students, regardless of age; this would become a state constitutional right.

Biological males who self-identify as females would be entitled to compete on girls’ and women’s sports teams, use their locker rooms and even showers.

Parents could be stripped of the authority to make medical decisions for their minor children, with life-altering and even permanent effects.

As a state constitution amendment, it would be almost irreversible.

The national CMDA leadership urges, “...[M]obilize all your forces against this amendment.”

Our SEPT NYS CARRY CONCEAL PISTOL PERMIT CLASS will be held on Thurs, Sept 5th and Thurs, Sept 12th at the Armor Fire Co in Hamburg and Mon, Sept 23rd at the Hamburg Rod & Gun Club. Classes will start at 5pm and you must attend all three classes to get your certificate.

Class is $300 per person and space is limited.

Class is taught by a certified law enforcement instructor and includes, application, application instruction, photographs, notary, safety course and live fire range training.
