I can't stop crying.
If anyone doubts that there’s hope in our kids and teens, let me tell you—you’re wrong.
We put up a sign in our yard today, hoping to avoid disappointing the kids who usually come to our door. Our neighborhood typically sees 300-400 trick-or-treaters, and we didn’t want them to be let down.
Tonight, I checked our doorbell camera and saw kids stopping at the sign. Curious, my husband and I went outside to see what was happening.
What we found left us speechless.
The picture doesn’t do it justice—there was a lot of candy left behind, and not just any candy, but the good stuff, too. These kids, who had every reason to keep their treats for themselves, chose instead to share with strangers, showing an incredible amount of love and kindness.
Seriously, if any parents of the kids who did this happen to see this, please tell them how much it means to us and our children. On the best candy night of the year, your kids freely and generously shared what they had, reminding us all of the goodness in the world.
It’s so amazing!
