Good news: We have a new, single barrel, barrel proof Elijah Craig in stock. It is over 11 years old, 131.6 proof and I would swear in a court of law that it’s the best Elijah we have ever tasted. It’s $79.99 and that is more than a fair price for a bourbon of this fine repute.

Bad news: It’s the smallest yield we have yet to encounter among the many dozens of barrels we have purveyed over the years. Fewer than 5 cases are available for purchase.

Arrived from Kentucky today, and hand selected by our own inimitable Alex Bacon, it’s the 2024 Spirit Shop Town Branch Single Barrel Reserve. This is the 3rd Town Branch Barrel we have brought in over the years and it might be the best.

This is an Irishman’s bourbon fever dream. 72% corn, 15% Rye and 13% malted barley, this barrel weighs in at 112.8 Proof. Woody oak, caramel, brown sugar and cherry all wrapped up with a very long, smooth finish. This is gorgeous bourbon 🥃

Riquewihr, April 1, 2024 - The Hugel family today announced the launch of 0.0, its first alcohol-free Riesling.

Jean Frédéric Hugel (13th generation): "Riquewihr is undoubtedly the most suitable terroir for making great non-alcoholic wines. Our aim is to rapidly have a wide range of 0.0 wines beyond this Riesling, because all the great grape varieties have the potential. Finally, being the first in Alsace to promote Grands Crus 0.0 would be a real step forward for our region."
