Be safe if you have to work or drive along the coast today, as wind gusts may exceed 60 mph along with heavy rain at beaches and headlands through 4 a.m. Wednesday. Isolated tree damage and power outages are possible.

* WHAT...South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected for beaches and headlands. Strongest winds expected this evening.
* WHERE...South Washington and North and Central Oregon Coast.
* WHEN...From noon today to 4 AM PST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is a 50-80% chance for wind gusts to
exceed 60 mph at beaches and headlands.

Isolated tree damage and power outages possible. Heavy rain at the coast and coastal mountains on Tuesday with a 15-25% chance of minor river flooding. Active weather over the Pacific will bring periods of hazardous seas and gales to the coastal waters.
