Construction should be complete in about 1 week and look forward to providing more products in EVERY part of the store to include candies, grocery, grab and go foods and more!

GOD HAD PLANS! These two beautiful young ladies are parting ways with this drive-thru this week. One is planning her wedding and the other chasing after this very rambunctious toddler! Each started off as an employee over 2 years ago and will forever be my bonus daughters! My plans of giving them a farewell went the opposite! I walked into balloons, a cake that said Thank You, a beautiful card, flowers and a gift card. They were thanking ME!? 😲Thanking me for being a part of their lives and going through some rough times, joyous times and everyday drama with them! 🤣 ( sometimes I lived my youth again vicariously through them!🤫)
They touched my heart as much as I touched theirs!
So… this will be another chapter in the B.I.G. Corner Store story! You will see some new faces, please welcome them and Josh, Terri & I will still be there to serve you! We will be adding coolers and more products this summer to serve our community even more! Watch us grow again!

This man was a regular in our store since day 1!
You could see him walking towards the store with his tall walking stick and the thumping of it as he made his way down the aisle to purchase his cat food, daily beverage of choice and dollar lottery tickets. The man was never without a smile and “ whatcha doin’ Darlin!”
He was a hard working man in his youth. Worked with his brother in-law doing survey work. Then life took a turn somewhere that threw him into homelessness for over 10 years. Bad choices? Probably! But we’ve all made those! Some more than others. He was a good man at heart and always showed his love for humankind no matter how bad his life was. His pride was a penny he had in his wallet from 1901 and of course his kitty! Simple things in life. Holidays came and went with a smile and holiday greetings knowing we were going home to family and a warm bed and holiday dinner and he was, well, you know by now…….EXEPT he wasn’t! He was loved by a community! We all will miss you KIRBY! 🥺😘

Because of several questions /comments about Lottery winnings and our policies on social media, we feel the need to explain our position as a Lottery retailer.

1.)This is in no way bashing other businesses sales promotions to gain your business. This is not a competition of business.
2.) MOST retailers do not disclose winners and winnings for *THEIR* ( patron and business)safety as theft, robbery and burglary are rampade in these days and area.
3.) We will NEVER display your winnings, picture or how much money we pay out or have on any media site or inside our store to encourage theft/robbery/ or burglary to you or our establishment. ( We do have a wall inside of BIG winner amounts but no names)
4.) if *YOU* want people to know how much money you won,then post it on YOUR social media site. We value not just your patronage but YOUR (and OUR safety ) as a valued customer and community family.

This bike belonged to an elderly vet. He Just stopped by to grab bread and water and some POS grabs his only transportation. ( yes, it should have been locked, someone stole his previous locked bike with a lock cutter) The thief headed towards Little Texas!

I have really never thought of this has anyone else?

using cash is doing.

Cash is important. 💸

Why should we pay cash everywhere we can
with banknotes instead of a credit card? 💳

- I have a $50 in my pocket.
Going to a restaurant and paying for dinner with it. The restaurant owner then uses the bill to pay for the laundry. The laundry owner then uses the bill to pay the barber. The barber will then use the bill for shopping.

After an unlimited number of payments, it will still remain a $50, which has fulfilled its purpose to everyone who used it for payment and the bank has jumped dry from every cash payment transaction made...

- But if I come to a restaurant and pay digitally - Card, and bank fees for my payment transaction charged to the seller are 3%, so around $1.50 and so will the fee $1.50 for each further payment transaction or owner re laundry or payments of the owner of the laundry shop, or payments of the barber etc.....

Therefore, after 30 transactions, the initial $50 will remain only $5 😫 and the remaining $45 became the property of the bank 🏦 thanks to all digital transactions and fees.

Small businesses need your help and this is one way to help ourselves too. Pull small draws of cash out at a time and use that instead of tap, credit, etc.

When this is put into perspective, imagine what each retailer is paying on a monthly basis in fees at 3% per transaction through their POS machine.

If they have, for example, $50,000 in sales & 90% are by Card, they are paying $1500 in fees in ONE Month. $18,000 in a year! That comes out of their income every month.

That would go a long way to helping that small business provide for its family!🏦♥️" got this from a good friend

Our purpose is to provide for the community and that is what the New Year will be doing as we make more improvements to the building and increase product availability on the inside!
