Good morning from Brooklyn! We had an incredible time at Green City last night and wanted to highlight our three faves from the night!
✨ Double Citra, Double Nelson was wild. Incredibly smooth, perfect tropical flavor. Hands down my fave.
🦠 Radical Empathy was one of the best lagers we had at the fest. The boys were looking sharp too. I mainly drink lager so this one was a treat. Crisp, clean, and a little bready. Perfect for the hot weather we had!
🔥 Peacemaker was out of this world. I knew all the breweries on this list besides these guys and wow was I impressed. It’s amazing how talented the beer world is now. This one was straight pineapple and OJ. It had me thinking I needed to hit a tiki bar in the near future

Founders of Owl's Brew, Jennie Ripps and Maria Littlefield, have continued to support and uplift other women in business. They developed an organization called the Wise Women’s Collective, a platform where women can connect, and through which Jennie and Maria support career enrichment and education programs as well as initiatives and charities. The WWC also hosts its own programming and events, from the Boozy Book Club--focusing on women authors--to a series of discussions with other inspiring women for Women’s History Month.
With so much going on, from powerful work opening up the industry to incredible beverages, we just had to ask Jennie and Maria a few questions!
March is Women’s History Month, and today in particular--March 8--is International Women’s Day. Striving for equity and visibility for women in craft beer is vital and necessary, and also opens important doors to that kind of equity and visibility for other groups that have been underrepresented in the industry for too long.
There’s lots even a casual craft beer or beverage fan can do, quite simply, supporting brands owned and/or operated by women. And when those brands are creating such game-changing, delicious drinks, this is arguably the easiest, best “task” in the world. To start, get to know some of the women-owned beverage brands on TapRm in this week's blog.
Last week, we talked about how far behind the craft beer industry is in terms of diversity, equity, and inclusion, but the incredible work being done by inspiring people to change that.
