Made from 100% Pelaverga Piccolo, a remarkable, indigenous, varietal from Verduno. Fratelli Alessandria’s ‘Speziale’ is just that. Super duper Speziale.

Bright and fresh with incredible tension and vibrant fruit, this wine is a joy to consume and revisit.

We don’t got a lot so get it whilst you can!

One way to beat the summer heat? Gruner Veltliner!

It neither slices nor dices, but it DOES make a superlative porch pounder! Crisp and light on its toes, this liter delivers a cool and fresh sip on a dank summer’s day.

Picnic fair and fried foods would be the ideal pairing, but this wine works well on its own and is fun sized for group settings to boot!

The June wine club is here!

For this the first month of summer we decided to go with some fun and electric natural wines that spoke to us of beaches and docks, parks and picnics, upstate and upstream!

All wines that take well to a chill, but don’t take themselves too seriously!

Wine can be fun! Just check out these three bb’s;

1). A fun and bracingly crisp Pet-Nat of Grolleau and Gamay.

2). A fresh and textural orange field-blend that brings a blast of tropical fruit to the glass while remaining dry as a bone.

3). 100% Alvarelhão hailing from Vinho Verde. Medium bodied with notes of hibiscus, strawberry and raspberry fresh from the bush.

If these can’t fight off them Manhattan avenue sweats I don’t know what will.

Summer is here and like a firestorm she will remain until those first leaves start to change.

Arianna Occhipinti makes wines with the vineyard and the terroir solely as the focus. She believes in biodynamic practices and late harvesting for her grapes, believing that these practices will create some of the the most elegant wines in Sicily.

We managed to snag a few of them this week and we even grabbed a few mags for those of you that eschew moderation!

So excited to get some Maclean’s Nose on our shelves. I think it’s the most generous Blended Scotch on the market at present.

Lots of burnt citrus, white chocolate and yellow currant on the palate. A good bit of campfire on the nose. A damn good dram if you ask me!

100% skin-contact Gewurztraminer from the south of France.

I have never, ever, seen anything like this in the glass. Like Chartreuse made a Powerade.. As Christophe, the winemaker said; “The grapes were crazy!”.

While the nose proposes white flowers and nectarines, the palate delivers ginger, melon, ripe peach, black tea and a modest mouthful of river stones.

Take a rip at this one folks! It’s wild.

It’s so close you can almost taste it.

The heat is coming and with it all the rosé!

The Konig rosé from has always held a special place in my heart (and mouth)!

It’s refreshing and fruity yet taut as a piano string. Lively and electric, yet subtle and long.

It’s a head scratcher for sure..
