This year’s special release celebrates the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby® and features the artwork of Kentucky native Wylie Caudill, known for his bold, repetitive patterns, and his signature roses. March 27th is International Whiskey Day, a yearly celebration of “The water of life”. The International Whiskey Day was created in 2009 at the Whisky Festival Northern Netherlands, to honor the birthday of the great whiskey writer Michael James Jackson, an English writer and journalist who wrote numerous books on beer and whiskey.

And speaking of people who had major impact on whiskey, perhaps no other person has had a greater impact on American whiskey / bourbon than Nearest Green, the man who taught Jack Daniels how to make Tennessee Whisky. This week we're featuring expressions from two amazing distillers: One you're probably familiar with, and one you absolutely should know.

If you're an Irish Whiskey fan, then you most certainly have heard of the Redbreast Brand from the legendary Midleton distillers, and this week we've got my favorite expression from their portfolio: Redbreast 15 Year Old Pot Still Irish Whiskey.
