New wine in stock from the Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico! Made by the family run estate, they strive to create honest wines that showcase the diversity of their terroir. The natural winemaking methods are spearheaded by head winemaker Silvana, who, after taking a long interest in natural wine and responsible agriculture, decided to bring these ideals back to her family vineyard.

Pobre Diabla is a delicious clairet style blend of Grenache and Moscatel. Bursting with red fruits like pomegranate and raspberries, with a floral nose of rose petals and hibiscus. Great with a chill, come and grab yours while the weather holds upπŸ§ŠπŸŒΊπŸ·πŸŒΉβ„οΈ

P.s. the devilish snail finger puppet is from Maxwell Gift and Grocery, down the block πŸŒπŸ‘ΉπŸ’•

New in Stock! Try these fun lil items from Argentina πŸ™‚πŸ™ƒ made by a father/daughter team, all the grapes are farmed organically and the wines see no corrections and are fermented with native yeasts.

The blanco is a beautiful floral blend, with notes of jasmine/neroli and not-too-ripe nectarine. Its dry and snappy, but not too acidic. Very flavorful and plush 🍊🌼

The red is a malbec/cab sauv blend with a soft rose-y nose thats a little bit more serious. Nice olive skin texture on the tannins, with flavors of cranberry and strawberry πŸ₯€πŸ“

Come by to get one before they're all snapped up!

We've still got some of these good time wines by Domaine des Sablonettes πŸ¦‰πŸ·! Based in the Loire Valley in France, this family run vineyard has been making natural wine without oenological manipulation since 1996. They farm biodynamically, and have a deep connection to their vines. Known for being experimental and down to try exciting combinations, they have delicious blends of red and white grapes together, that make some truly tasty glou glou wines πŸ‡βœ¨

Fun times hosting in the Mannys Cellar, it's a great chance to learn directly from the winemakers! Always appreciate everyone coming out to taste new things and ask questions. Anything you've been wondering about in terms of farming, grape varietals, fermentation, or even whats a pet-nat, is all fair game! This one was a great time, thanks again to our reps and winemakers, and of course to all the folks who attended for coming in to join us!

Not sure if this was intended by , but we have some ciders here that remind me of a certain biomecha-existential-crisis anime, and I can't get them out of my head. 'Angel' and 'Cherche & Detruit' (Search & Destroy) are both made in Auvergne with apples from Normandy. Angel is blended with pear and quince ciders, and tastes like tannic red cherries with notes of hay. Cherche & Detruit is blended with rhubarb and currant wines, and is definitely the funkier of the two, with racy acidity and a hearty dose of tang. So if you find yourself begging to question your sanity while watching a bunch of giant mechs piloted by angsty teens fight a god out for human destruction, consider pairing the feeling with one of these ciders.

πŸŒΈπŸ’πŸŒΈπŸ“ Tasting Alert!! πŸ“πŸŒΈπŸ’πŸŒΈ
Definitely over-excited about spring and this new Doburoku style sake! A truly unfiltered sake, this kinda-sweet-kinda-tangy drink is made with red yeast to give it it's naturally pink color. I love it's richer, pulpy texture, and flavor of fresh strawberry/cherry with sheep's milk yoghurt (no dairy involved, it just has that pleasant, gentle, rolling acid).

We'll be trying this, and two other delicious sakes new to the shop, on Thursday May 16th from 6-8pm! This is a casual in-store tasting with Wataru, so if you're curious and passing through, why not give it a try?
