We have another tasting planned for tomorrow, December 7th from 4-7 pm!

Since it’s the holidays, many of us will have neighbors and friends over for a casual get together. Which is why we thought we’d feature some finger foods and hors d’oeuvres to pair with five wines, as well as a specialty cocktail: a classic negroni featuring all New York State ingredients!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you to everyone who came to our annual Thanksgiving tasting. It was a huge success with plenty of nice wines and tasty dishes featuring local ingredients. We’d like to point out that the local farms we support still have lots of produce available for anyone cooking this holiday. Here are some things we noticed last time we visited:

Bradley Farm: Cheese Pumpkins (used at our tasting!), onions, garlic, sage, pasture-raised pork

Wallkill View: Rutabagas, turnips. cauliflower, spinach, three different types of lettuce, acorn and butternut squash, Swiss chard

Taliaferro Farms: Kale, arugula, acorn and honeynut squash, sweet potatoes, mesclun

Laughing Fork Farm: Carrots, cabbage, turnips, parsnips, squash

As for us, we will be open on Thanksgiving for a few hours for any last-minute wines, gifts, recommendations, and anything else you might need. Our hours will be:

Wednesday, Nov 22nd: 9:30 am - 8 pm
Thursday, Nov 23rd (Thanksgiving): 9:30 am - 1 pm

Just a reminder that our annual Thanksgiving tasting is tonight from 4-7 pm! We will have six organic wines open and a wide array of Thanksgiving dishes to nosh on. That includes a cornbread stuffed seitan (vegan) made by our friends at Black Cat Bulk Goods (will also be available to order through their store!), and plenty of sides featuring produce from several local farms. Thanksgiving Tasting 2023
Friday, November 17th 4 - 7 pm

This is our favorite event of the year, our annual Thanksgiving wine tasting! We are pulling out all the stops for this one, preparing a wide array of dishes that are perfect for the holiday. And as usual, an assortment of (all organic!) wines to pair. The only catch is that our tasting will be held this Friday evening instead of the usual Thursday night.

-Organic Rosé (Pays d’Herault, France)
-Organic Bardolino (Veneto, Italy)
-Organic Sangiovese and Merlot blend (Tuscany, Italy)

Pop-Up tasting at the store this week!!

Let's forget about inflation and focus on the things that truly matter, like sampling some delicious wines from around the world.
On Thursday, March 30th, we will be hosting a pop-up wine tasting and pouring delightful wines that are $20 and below for you all to taste, along with a selection of small bites to pair.

We'll be pouring wines from 4pm-7pm, and our staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the wines we're serving.

The date for our final wine class (Natural) has changed from April 6th to Thursday, April 13th, to avoid conflicts with the second night of Passover and the New Paltz school district winter holiday. The class will still take place at Main Course from 6-8 pm(ish).

We will be pouring cloudy, unfiltered, raw wines made with indigenous yeast, possibly even buried under ground in clay pots with their skins! Basically going back in time a little, yet clearly in the present.

Tickets are on sale as of Friday, March 10th at 3 pm. Come in to the store or call us to book your spot!

With 2022 almost in the books, we here at Fox and Hound wanted to take a moment to thank all of our fine customers for another great year. We had plenty of fun wine tastings, a lively holiday season, and made some new friends along the way. However, we still have one last finale; New Year's Eve! Here are our hours for the next few days:

Saturday 12/31 (New Year's Eve): 9:30 am - 9 pm

Believe it or not, the end of the year is almost upon us. It's been great for us to get back to our series of wine tastings after an eventful few years. This Thursday we'll have one last hurrah, our final tasting of 2022! We will be pouring some great stuff, almost entirely biodynamic and natural, all of which we think would be great wines for the holidays.
