Happy May Day, don't forget to get your Wobblie on! May's comes from one of our favorite foodie mags, Bon Appetit. Check out the Strawberry-Rose Spritzer!

This spritz is perfect for a warm New Orleans day, especially if you use local strawberries. We recommend making a big pitcher and then using your favorite "keep-it-cool" cup where you've tossed in a bunch of ice and those left over strawberries.

Also, remember . We're resilient people, we can wait this out. So kick your feet up, crank up the tunes, and enjoy!

Recipe:
1 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 750-ml bottle rosé wine
2 cups soda water
1/3 cup Aperol
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Combine strawberries and wine in a large pitcher; cover and chill for 3 hours to infuse wine. Strain wine into a large bowl, reserving some strawberries for garnish. Return wine to pitcher. Stir in soda water, Aperol, and lemon juice. Divide among ice-filled glasses; garnish each with a lemon twist and a few reserved strawberries.

Hey friends,

Thanks for joining us last night for our little wine trivia night and especially for sticking with us through our first time navigating the tech.

We love Spanish wine, because its quality to price ratio is usually pretty high. Especially those older Gran Reserva Riojas 😘 Even in the lower price ranges you find wonderful bottles like the Nexo Crianza Rioja. Or if you're like me, you love a good Monastrell (Mourvedre) like the organic Goru Verde. And you can never go wrong with Grenache.

A lot of folks recommend for and we don't disagree...but we do recommend branching out a bit. with ham is classic, is light-bodied, fruity, but can have some wonderful earthy tones and tends to be a more affordable buy than Pinot Noir. If you're doing lamb, why not go for ? The Domaine Saint-Damien La Louisiane needs a little time to breathe, but once it opens up it is both powerful and elegant.

Of course, if you're doing give us a call about our offerings! There's nothing better to balance that heat than a hint of sweetness (also, throw some pineapple in your boil!).
