Update 11:10 am 7/8/23: FOUND SAFE. Thank you to all who shared and sent positive wishes.

The Nevada County Sheriff's Office and Search and Rescue are currently in the area of Willow Valley Rd and Hwy 20 (near Harmony Ridge, Nevada City) looking for an overdue hiker named Samantha Dees. Samantha is described as a 33-year-old white female 5'10" tall and weighing 120 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes and was last seen on Friday morning 7/7/23 around 9:00 am wearing an orange tank top and yoga shorts, when she left the area of Highway 20 and Willow Valley Road on foot. If you have seen her or have any information, please call the Sheriff's Office at 530-265-7880.

Harmony Happenings (03/28/2023).

It was a wild ride in town when after-school programs and many businesses closed at about the same time making for some slippery traffic. We hope you all stayed home or made it safely home.

Highway 20 is now closed on Harmony Ridge to all but locals. Therefore, for our neighbors, we will be open tomorrow if you need provisions or simply a warm coffee.

Harmony Happenings. 3/11/23

Good news this week. To help the Market help our community:

1. The County assisted with expediting our generator propane refill (Thank you Josh White, the County Team, and Ferrellgas).
2. Our parkinglot was kindly plowed several times by neighbors.
3. The Market and folks nearby have power after a long haul without it!
4. We are opened with warm and cold beverages to help you …and Dustin is baking, yum!

That said, it is still stormy, Hwy 20 remains closed to non-locals, and many folks on Harmony Ridge and above still don’t have power (day 13). So keep looking out for neighbors.

We are a community of hearty and kind folk.

The one constant lately is snow falls constantly. Stay warm.

In winter we are closed on Mondays to resupply. This Monday the County is also helping advocate for a propane refill (Thank you, ) so we can keep the doors open and serving you all week. In other good news our parking lot was plowed completely yesterday so there is a place for you to pull up and park and a place for all the snow we see outside right now (Monday Afternoon Video) to fall and re-accumulate🤪.

Dustin and friends did it. They got the Market opened today. We have had the generator going since the storm started so despite no power, WE ARE OPENED. Feel free to stop in for a smile, a hot drink, and to refill supplies before the next storm.

Mr. Forrest has worked at the Market his whole career and life. Today he greeted the community and “beeped” purchases throughout his shift. We know he gave it his all because he came home and promptly fell sound asleep. Thank you to the Littlest Bremmer!
