Established in 1939, Lipman Brothers is the oldest distributor of wine and spirits in Middle Tennessee. Lipman Brothers’ corporate headquarters is located in Nashville with additional facilities in East Tennessee.

Lipman Brothers is so pleased to be able to benefit the Shwab Clubhouse, Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee with 187 toys, and 200 candy canes benefiting 61 children! Following the repeal of prohibition, Harry Lipman founded a liquor and wine distribution company in Franklin, Kentucky. In 1939, Harry and Meyer Lipman, received the first wholesale liquor license in Tennessee, Tennessee State Permit No. Lipman Brothers still operates under this permit to this day. Upon receiving their permit, Lipman Brothers became the first distributor of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey. Simon Ford, founder and CEO of Fords Gin, came up with the idea for an ultimate cocktail gin with his friend on the back of a napkin at a local bar.
