For Lake Nacogdoches residents, it was iconic Yakofritz Landing store. For years it flourished and for people who grew up in the area it was a heritage and pride they carried with them. However, for the past 5 years, the star that had shown so bright deemed and what was a beehive of activities turned into a dark and isolated sprawling business.

Today, that star that had deemed its light has been reignited and is now known as Goose Landing. A symbol of the pride and resilience of the Nacogdoches residents who together decided that giving up on the store that was part of who they are was not an option. The store had breathed life into the community and besides uniting them towards one goal, chatters, laughter, hope and promise for a brighter tomorrow can be seen and heard as the doors of Goose Landing open and restore the community’s lost glory.
