Susan Newhof and the entire Friends of Montague Library group, and every single person who showed up last night!

Please attend the City Hall meeting TONIGHT (JAN. 24) AT 5:30 To discuss why the CITY SOLD PUBLIC, DOWNTOWN MUSKEGON LAKE FRONTAGE FOR $2 TO A PRIVATE CITIZEN. We are attempting to have this action, taken without a public hearing, reversed. Lots of people need to show up to show our outrage.

Hi all: so people have been asking when BoomTown will open again. Here's the deal. I've been waiting...and waiting... for an SBA loan to fund. It should fund soon -- but I've thought that before. My only option without the loan is to Crowd Fund to raise the money to reopen. I fear this seems pathetic and begger-ly as I've had to Crowd Fund before for BoomTown. I'd need about 20k to re-open. This includes money for a huge electric and internet bill plus inventory. So, do I do this? If I can't get the entire 20k then I guess I just give the money back? Not sure how that works. Or I can just keep praying the SBA Gods will fund me.

Ok, so now TOMORROW SATURDAY Jan 8 is our LAST DAY UNTIL SPRING. We were open for a while today but very few people came in. This seems to happen when schools have a snow day. Anyhow tomorrow is still 30% OFF EVERYTHING (including beer, wine, food, hoodies and beer / cider on tap canned to go). OPEN 10 AM TO 3 PM. After that, See Ya In The Spring!

TOMORROW (FRI JAN 7) IS 30% OFF EVERYTHING DAY! Why? Because we make so little money during the winter I decided to close down until Spring. Plus I gotta rethink BoomTown and what customers really want. So, anyhow, every single thing is 30% off tomorrow (which is our last day till Spring). See, we made them for Small Business Saturday. Then... no one really came in for Small Business Saturday. We sat there all lonely like the Maytag repairman wondering where we went wrong.
Then, it dawned on us. The Michigan Ohio State game. No wonder the downtown was so dead. Everybody was at home watching TV. So I'm declaring this week Small Business Week. Come visit your favorite biz (hopefully us too) and help support the locals. Also, in honor of Michigan winning (not that I really care, Go Green) our Christmas gift baskets are marked down from $75 to $65. I mean, I really gotta get rid of all this stuff I bought for Christmas sales! So check out the pics. Lots of great muskegon & michigan made gifts, stocking stuffers and hostess gifts.
