💀 Every year at this time we release The Donner Party single vineyard Zin. Not for the faint of heart, this earthy wine has intense blackberry, clove and anise flavors - it is an adventure in a bottle. The grapes, 94% zin and 6% petite sirah come from the legendary Dalton Ranch nestled in Angels Camp. It is also home to a pioneer graveyard, where our dear friend James Dalton rests in peace. We named this wine in honor of the fateful Donner Party and to pay tribute to John Murphy, whom with brother Dan founded our town and was also married to Virginia Reed, a Donner Party survivor.
