Spend 2 hours helping out to make sure the event is safe and runs smoothly.

A NH tip of the cap to one of the pioneers of modern rock and roll. David Johansen and his New York Dolls exploded onto the NY early punk scene in 1971. Most folks don’t even know who he is/was. But the influence this man had on the evolution of rock and roll cannot be overstated. Rest easy, Mr Johansen. Hammer sw***er indeed!

Last night was our first visit to Sarah Beaudreau’s new project, Avellino Italian Market and Wine Bar down in Angels Camp. It’s clearly a labor of love for this veteran of the Calaveras restaurant scene. I had a brief second to ask her how much she loves this. She could only break out with the biggest authentic smile I’ve seen in a while. And the food and wines are spectacular. Highly recommended!

Had the pleasure of tasting this lovely wine tonight. A wine we made 23 years ago…and the first vintage of Big John Zinfandel ever made. And it wasn’t even me that brought it! Man…where has the time gone? Thanks, Hugo!
