The heat is on everyone's mind, so this week's FREE THURSDAY NIGHT WINE TASTING will have an emphasis on *chill*. Josh from will be dishing out a few Spanish treats -- the Incandesa Sonoma (a sparkling Ancestral style brut) and the Conde Valdemar Rioja Rose (which is as lovely as its bottle) -- in addition to the Alain de la Trielle Loire Chardonnay. No cheese this week but you are welcome to bring paella. As ever, bottles pop at 5 and we'll be pouring until 7. No need to sign up -- just show up! See you tonight!

A little while back we were introduced to the Chenin Blanc by our pals at and fell in love. It was also begging to be paired with a nice cheese. So, for our next FREE THURSDAY NIGHT WINE TASTING, we thought it’d be nice to pair said wine with a variety cheeses and a few other wines suitable for our sultry climate, including this lovely Kate Arnold sauvignon blanc and a highly recommended old favorite from .

So join us this Thursday from 5-7pm for all the wine, cheese, and good times you can handle (or until supplies run out). Be a pal and bring a pal!

We are stocked back up on Sancerres — including this lovely new Silex from Lucien Raymond. Silex is arguably the most desired terroir of Sancerre and this friend tastes super clean while retaining all of the flinty magic one would expect from the Loire Valley. They’re nice and cold — so come grab a couple while you can! We’re open until 8pm!

Last night’s tasting was kind of an experiment — a way to take the temperature on some new bottles that we were excited about but not totally sure about how they’d go over. Happy to report that we have a winner! Thanks to everyone who came out, tried, and took home these Almare Spritzes. We still have a some hanging out on our cooler for your sipping pleasure. The Hugo (elderberry) seemed to be the favorite, but there was lots of love for the Classico (like an instant Aperol Spritz, but with less sugar) and the Rosa (grapefruit). Come give them a try!

THE FREE THURSDAY NIGHT WINE TASTING IS BACK!

In celebration of this beautiful weather we’re gonna try a few new things this Thursday. These new Almare Spritzes are perfect grab and go treats that are perfect for porches, picnics, or graduation ceremonies (tee hee). They have the perfect combination of fizz and flavor and we’re excited for you to give them a try.

Almare Spritz features three distinctly Mediterranean recipes with low alcohol and no added sugars in an easy to enjoy and share 750ml format. “Classico” shows the classic Italian Spritz flavors of bitter orange, rhubarb and subtle herbal notes. “Hugo” is refreshing and bright with elderflower, lemon and mint on the palate and nose. “Rosa” features notes of grapefruit, bitter herbs and flowers. All three are distinctly and authentically Italian, while providing a new and effortless way to enjoy a classic Spritz.

As always, we’ll be popping bottles at 5pm and pouring until 7pm. Bring a friend (or few)!

We have some new treats and a couple of old favorites to help you make the most of this beautiful day.

1. We finally have local favorites, Uproot Brewing, in the building. Particularly excited about the Todo Mal — a Mexican-style lager.

2. You may remember us being over the moon about Calcarius a few years back. We haven’t seen them in a while but, after long last, we were able to snag what may be the last few bottles of Soul Glow — a delicious primitivo — in the state. All natural, unfiltered, totally raw… And dig that cool label. It’s great at room temperature, but give it a try chilled.

3. La Roseraie is a wonderful new sauvignon blanc that you may have tried over at Porch. It has roots in Bordeaux, but the influence of the Mediterranean Sea gives this wine a refreshing, unique character.

4. Regulars know all about our love for the Stiegl grapefruit radler. Add a shot of Aperol (and perhaps some gin or vodka) and you have a “Crestline Crusher”. You can thank us later.

We’ll be here until 8pm. Come stock up for the sunshine and / or tonight’s Alabama game!
