When i arrived home one day from a rough day of chemotherapy I found a basket waiting for me on my front porch. It made me feel so very happy to receive that basket especially knowing it came from someone who knew how I was feeling. My goal is to spread that happiness to all my fellow warriors. Here’s a little about me: I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2015 at the age of 46. I underw
ent 6 grueling rounds of chemotherapy, a bilateral mastectomy, had 23 lymph nodes removed and had 28 rounds of breast radiation. I was declared cancer free in March 2016. In June 2016 I learned the breast cancer metastasized to my brain. I then had to undergo 15 rounds of radiation on the full brain. You might think at this point that's enough for one woman, but oh noooo a few weeks later along came a saddle pulmonary embolism that landed me in the hospital for another week. I was finally getting back on my feet again in early October when I suffered a seizure and had to spend the next 8 days in the Nuero ICU. Once released I was moved to a rehab facility where I spent 9 days gaining my strength back on my left side. The good news is I am writing this from my home. If you would like to donate supplies, help assemble or deliver the baskets to fellow warriors I would love the help. The follow items would be much appreciated:
Knit Hats
Hand lotion
Hand sanitizer
Scarves
Socks
Toothbrushes
Tooth paste
Fleece blankets
Tea bags
Seek and Find/crossword books
Pens/pencils
pocket sized notebooks
adult coloring books
Gloves
Mints/gum
Nail files
Nail polish
Tissues
Wawa or grocery store gift cards
I am not picky. I am not trying to make any money. This is all non-profit. I just want to help put a smile on a fellow warriors face. You can email me at mhyde824@gmail or call 609-519-7749 to make donation arrangements
Much Love,
Michele
