What a great day at King George Speedway for the first race of the 2021-2022 Winter Series! As always a great job by Cory Hanson, Jessica Houck and staff for putting on a great event! I want to first thank Justin Coomer of No Mercy Motorsports for the rocket TO LTO! I was able to put it in Victory Lane. Not too often I get behind the wheel so it is extremely nice to roll into Victory Lane when I do so. Granted due to a few engine failures of two racers and one of my own, I got it done. Now, it was not pretty due to lack of conditioning on my part, which absolutely everyone had no issues letting me know. LOL! A special shout out to Elliott Burton for all the hard work he puts into the karts week to week and never complains. Never could do it without you! Well, all the hard work finally paid off. You busted your a$$ and drove straight into Victory Lane too!! I could not be more proud of you! I felt the same as the first time I won my first race! So, thanks for keeping me young! LOL! If all I ever had to do was give a kart to any kid and he/she could put it into Victory Lane, racing would be too easy. Braydon Humphrey, not a lot I can say about this young man. He just has the knack for racing, he is a natural to say the least. I honestly think he, his dad and grand dad, Mike Barnes III and Mike Barnes Sr, could put a shopping kart into Victory Lane! Congrats on both the Feature and Pro races!! With the good there is always the not so good. The B Day man, Shane Johnson had to leave the race with engine issues. Not a good way to end your special day. We will get it straight and you will be there for week 2. Chris Lemmons, it is extremely hard to drive a kart that beats you death. We will get it right hopefully for week 2 of the series. Last and most definitely not least a special shout out to the one that keeps everything oiled and together and keeps me on my toes, Stacie Wade, Not only does she keep WKPS running she provides King George Speedway with the best damn food at any track!! Which I honestly do not think anyone would deny that has had her delicious food!!

Went to Cap City yesterday and had a GREAT time! It was nice meeting new faces and seeing old friends. Special thanks to Barry Childers for the ride, Cory Hanson for the tires, and DJ Stotler for patiently starting me and holding the choke to keep it runnin'. Learned a very valuable lesson in turn 1 - don't pass on the high side. Hit pretty hard, kart is ok - me, not so much this morning. Hoosiers may be soft, it's the wall behind them that hurts. Last but not least - super special thanks to my wife, Stacie and Charlie Vallandingham for finding the humor in my wreckage - Glad y'all got a good laugh. 🤣🤣 Codeine please kick in!

Loaded up & ready to go racing at King George Speedway tomorrow! Gates open at 1:00. Our Senior Driver Chrys Wade will be running three classes : a WKPS kart in the Predator Flat, a WKPS kart powered by Venom Motors in the Clone Flat, Jeff Drum's Champ kart powered by Hanson Motors in the Clone Champ!! Our rookie driver Vinnie Metz will be running a WKPS champ kart powered by Venom Motors green plate Clone . Whooo Hooo gonna be a busy day at the track! Go get 'em fellas!!!

Last night we had some real guns out there on the track, then there was the rookie. The big guns were doing some schooling. It is great to see some good sportsmanship pulling together to help the new kid around the track. This is what we are about, Great karts and parts and amazing people. Check back for videos soon!
