Mas d’en Gil, located in Bellmunt del Priorat, was founded in 1867 by enologist Francesc Gil and changed hands only once until 1998 when the Rovira Carbonell family acquired the estate, releasing their first wines under the name Mas d’en Gil in 2000. The family’s youngest daughter, Marta Rovira Carbonell, soon introduced biodynamic fundamentals and certified organic farming to the estate, in her words, “revitalizes soil, and brings health and balance to plants. The wines must reflect the natural landscape of an estate that we are trying to understand as a living being, as an agricultural unit that seeks to keep the soils healthy and balanced with the native flora and fauna.” ~ Masdengil.com

Fairvalley is one of the first black owned wineries in South Africa. 100% of profits from the sales of Fairvalley Wines go directly towards the Fairvalley Workers Association which funds education, including transportation to schools, and college funds for the children of the 42 families in the Association.

Juanfa Suárez and Cecilia Duran are winemakers and owners of Rocamadre vinos in Paraje Altamira of Uco Valley, Mendoza. At 3,600ft above sea level in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, Juanfa, Cecilia and their two young sons live on desert land of alluvial, sandy-loam and limestone soils and gorgeous mountain views. Juanfa’s great grandfather put down roots in Paraje Altamira almost 100 years before it was established as a GI. Today, the couple have recently broken ground in construction of a new winery and Eno-tourism destination.

Sustainable winemaking and indigenous yeast create natural-style wines with local artist-designed labels Fabrica De Stampile “Rocamadre crafts wines from mountain-grown grapes. For us, viticulture and winemaking form part of the same process, one that begins in the vineyards and ends in the winery, while respecting natural processes and the environment.” ~ /www.rocamadre.com.ar

Rocamadre offerings at Regal include a Rosado of Pinot Noir, Blanco of Chardonnay, a chill-able, light red of Criolla, and two mineral-driven, bold Malbecs. The Caliche line are Lieux Dit wines from singular soils typical of the zone, large granite stone surrounded by calcium carbonate.

Sophie showed customers the range of wines from Eric Louis: Domaine Les Celliers de la Pauline (Sancerre), Domaine Eric Louis (Sancerre), and Sophie Bertin Wines (Vin de France).

Sancerre Eric Louis - Les Celliers de la Pauline’s family has made wine in Sancerre for 4 generations, beginning with his great-grandmother Pauline who pioneered the family tradition. Since 2000, Eric expanded their winemaking to other appellations of the Loire and varietal wines under Vin de France.
