What an honor!! Thank you Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for recognizing my business Rosarios QC as Small Business of the year! 🎉
My acceptance speech:
As a data scientist, I always ask myself what the algorithm for entrepreneurial success can be. There are so many variables that can affect your strategic plan so I am always analyzing location, sales margins, losses, marketing, competition, and even trying to guess the crazy midwest weather we have! But my objective goals always remain the same and that is to be happy while working, be grateful with my earnings at the end of the day and to give back to my community what I can often.
I would like to thank the Hispanic Chamber for recognizing Hispanic owned business and supporters. I would like to thank all of my family and especially my kids, Daniel & Joana, for their continued support and help. I would like to thank Mercado On Fifth for providing a platform for small businesses to sell. I would like to thank Western Illinois University-Quad Cities for giving me a great education in Accounting and Business Analytics. I would like to thank my cousin in heaven, Pedro Casas-Treviño, for giving me my first rosary in my collection and igniting my passion for rosaries. He is the reason why my parents decided to move us here to the Quad Cities from San Antonio, Texas almost 35 years ago. He was also an entrepreneur, owner of the San Luis Food Market in Silvis, IL which is still owned by his family today . And lastly I want to thank my Dad in heaven, Guillermo Treviño. He owned a small Mexican food restaurant on 7th street in the Floreciente neighborhood in the 90’s and with him I saw for the first time how business is suppose to run when I was a child.
Thank you. ❤️
From Mariela Treviño-Luna , Owner of Rosarios QC
