A New Beginning
Dave Fisher started this business in 1978 in Norwalk, OH. He had moved to the current location on 84 Benedict Ave. in 1998. We are a local convenient store with an ice cold beer cave, fried chicken, a deli counter, and our beloved drive thru. In 2001, Dave added the Avery location to his business. Serving the locals with homemade lunch specials and giving tourists a place to stop right off of the turnpike. His children Julie and Joe managed the two stores after his death in 2012 with the help from Dave’s wife, Phil. Since then, Joe’s children Jack and Makenna, became a part of the management team. In 2017, Joe started to draw up plans for a new Avery building. Throughout the course of 2018 & 2019, Joe bought out the lease on the Avery building and began construction. Throughout various trials and triumphs, the Avery store officially opened January 10, 2020. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and loyalty to us. Be sure to visit our business partners, our Norwalk store is open 24/7 all year long and the Austin Family’s West Side Sunoco has our deli sandwiches available for purchase. The Fisher Family is so proud to present this new beginning. Welcome Dave’s Food Mart Avery!
