Happy Labor Day to all! Summer is almost over, and we are excited to have yet another Spectacular Mora's Liquors, Russell's Reserve SB Private Barrel, Camp Nelson F! This Mora's pick is so delicious and easy to sip! What can we say, we love our Russell's! With the wild success over the last few years of the Russell's 13 Years and Rickhouse Releases, it's no surprise Wild Turkey fans and Bourbon Lovers couldn't wait for this latest expression! The barrels mature at Camp Nelson for 15 Years, and the Bourbon is non-chill filtered and bottled at exactly 117.2° Proof. Ron Zacapa Centenario No. 23 Solera is an amazing Rum from Guatemala. Zacapa is distilled from Virgin Sugar Cane, and is a blend of Rums aged for at least 6 Years in Solera system, utilizing ex-American Whiskey barrels, then ex-Sherry casks. In the final stage, barrels are used that aged Pedro Ximénez wines. The rum has a balanced profile, with some spicy notes and a long finish displaying the best of the barrel aging.

2012 was one of extreme climate conditions, giving way to an exceptional Vintage and grapes of superior quality. Dom Pérignon's 2012 offers vibrant acidity, minerality, and great intensity. It takes no fewer than 8 Years to achieve the perfect balance in the assemblage of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Grapes. Shenk's Homestead Kentucky Sour Mash Whiskey, 2022 Release, and Bomberger's Declaration Bourbon, are true Gems from Michter's Distillery. Shenk's honors John Shenk who founded originally Bomberger's Distillery in 1753, later named Michter's Distillery. Bomberger's Declaration honors the legacy of the formerly named Distillery. "All Tequila is Mezcal, but not All Mezcal is Tequila!" Mezcal is made from Agave Angustufolia, which is native to Mexico, and some parts of the Caribbean. However, to be labeled Mezcal, the spirit has to be 100% Agave Nectar. Neat little fact!

Del Maguey Mezcals are from a single village distillation, from 100% Agave Espadin. There are many expressions of this mezcal, and all are named after the villages they are produced! Today we are featuring at Mora's the Luxurious Herradura Legend Barril Acanalado Añejo Tequila. Made from the finest 100% Blue Agave, and matured for 14 months in New American Oak barrels. The barrels are then heavily charred, and deeply grooved. The grooves expose the tequila to more toasted oak, and impart a deep color to this patiently aged expression from Tequila Herradura. Are Malt Mondays a thing? We think so! This one couldnt wait! The Amazing Glenfiddich 12 Yrs also comes in a Special Edition Amontillado Sherry Cask Finish. Amontillado Sherry begins with harvesting the best and oldest Palomino grapes, typically harvested in September, then additionally fortified and aged through an extensive process. Amontillado is drier and lighter than Oloroso, and has a less dark color. The Glenfiddich Whisky is aged for 12 years in American and European oak sherry casks, then finished in Amontillado Casks. As American as NFL, High West has brought back their Campfire Edition, which is now in stock at Mora's with a very beautiful new label, and the same great Whiskey. Campfire is a blend of Straight rye Whiskey, straight bourbon Whiskey, and Blended malt scotch. It is definetly unique in that it offers Peated notes. If you are a Bourbon lover you might find this an interesting intro into the world of Peated. If you enjoy Scotch you'll appreciate the pronounced, yet not overpowering smoke and peat.
