Effective Monday, October 30th, 2023 Modoc Market will no longer be open to the public. Don't worry though, you'll still be able to shop online (modocmarket.com)where we will either ship your order directly to you OR if you're local, you can pick it up at our store location at no additional cost.

Our bison meat 🥩🍖 is a great way to stay healthy especially as activities pick up and make our lives hectic being on the go. We are open Tuesday through Friday from 10am-5pm and Saturday from 12pm-4pm or online 24/7 at https://modocmarket.com/blogs/recipes/bison-chili

Bison Chili 🍲🥣🤩

prep time - 15 min
cooking time - 1 hour 30 min
servings - 4
total time - 1 hour 45 min
Equipment
Ingredients
1 lb ground bison meat

1 large onion, diced

1-15oz can pinto beans

2-16oz cans peeled tomatoes

3/4 cup water

2 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp ground cumin

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions
1) In a medium skillet, sauté' the onion until translucent. Then add the ground bison meat and cook until browned.
2) Add the pinto beans, tomatoes, water, and spices.
3) Cover and let simmer for 1 hour. (Add more water if the chili becomes too thick)
