ARE YOU READY FOR THE THREE KINGS DAY? DO YOU FOLLOW THIS BEAUTIFUL TRADITION? We do it in our home and we can't wait to pass it along our grandkids that are arriving soon to our lives. 👑

Three Kings' Day is a significant holiday celebration in Europe and Latin America. It commemorates the visit of the three kings to Baby Jesus or Epiphany (January 6th).

This cake pastry (Roscon de Reyes) is traditionally eaten to celebrate this day. Recipes vary from country to country. It comes plain or with different types of filling. Hot chocolate is also used to accompany it.

In the cake, a small trinket is placed to represent the flight of the Holy family, fleeing from King Herod's Massacre of the Innocents.

The cake is placed among family or friends and each one cuts their own piece until somebody finds the trinket and save the king. That person will be more blessed than usual all year round and should be the host of the next Three Kings' Day reunion.

LISTOS PARA CELEBRAR EL DIA DE REYES? SIGUEN USTEDES ESTA HERMOSA TRADICION?
Nosotros lo hacemos en casa y estamos ansiosos de seguirla y pasarla a los nietos que están llegando pronto y demás generaciones venideras.

El Dia de Reyes es una fiesta muy especial en Europa y muchos países Latinoamericanos. Este dia (6 de Enero) se conmemora la visita de los 3 Reyes Magos a Jesús recién nacido. Esta fiesta también se conoce como la Epifanía.

Este pastel varía en su receta dependiendo del país. Puede conseguirse sola o rellena de distintas variedades. Usualmente se acompaña con chocolate caliente.

Dentro del pastel se coloca un pequeño ornamento que representa la huida de Santa Familia para evitar que Jesús fuese parte de la masacre de Herodes a los niños menores de 2 años.

Este pastel se pone entre los comensales y cada cual pica su pedazo hasta que alguno encuentra y salva al Rey Jesús.

Dice la tradición que a partir de ese momento, esa persona será más bendecida de lo normal todo el año y debe ser el anfitrión del siguiente Día de Reyes.

Imagine mixing these options:

* Iberico Ham
* Spanish Chorizo
* Acorn fed salchichón
* Manchego Cheese
* Cheese with edible flowers
* Truffle cheese
* Caviaroli (encapsulated olive oil ) to add on top of your cheeses or meats
* Papaya preserve
* Nougat (Turron)
Just assemble all these ingredients in a cutting board or plate and serve!
