Mescalero Tribal Tobacco Cessation & Prevention Program MTTCPP promotes the respect for the sacred use of to***co and increase the knowledge of to***co usage and the consequences of to***co in our community.

The MTTCPP program is a fairly new program in the Mescalero Community and is housed under the Four Directions Treatment and Recovery Center. The MTTCPP program received fund-ing in December 2015 and services started in January 2016. Our program goals is to:

-To promote the respect for the sacred use of to***co

-Increase the knowledge of second-hand smoke

-To promote “quitting” program for smok

e and non-smoke to***co products

-To increase the knowledge of to***co usage and the consequences of to***co

-To prevent youth initiation of smoking and smoke-less to***co products
