Ghostrunner Ungrafted Red review.

This is one of our favorite red blends. Classic big California red with nice oak spice. The key for me when it comes to a blend is balance. The wine is silky smooth and is an easy drinker on its own, and enough medium body to hold up with food.

What does the ungrafted mean?
Grafting is a way to plant grapes to prevent pests from destroying vines. Some vineyards (usually in S. America) aren’t affected by these pests and can plant ungrafted vines. This is an ungrafted from California. Some argue ungrafted grapes are superior. You be the judge!

This is a great bottle to share with people when you’re not sure what they prefer to drink. At $17.99 it’s a great bargain and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

I was posting reviews of wine and beer in different platforms but why not right here.
Yesterday we got in a whole fresh batch of Bordeaux. I had read the 2022 Margaux’s were great to drink right now. This is chateau Les Barraillots. 50% cab 40% Merlot and a little cab franc and petite Verdot.
5 out of 5!!! Outstanding.
I think a lot of younger Bordeaux’s will drink a lot like a California Cab. Big bursting red fruits and this had that. There is a finesse and suppleness that tastes more like old world French wines. I truly loved it and paired it with skirt steak. The name comes from the word barrails. These are small fences that surround their parcel in Margaux. Their property abuts some huge names in Bordeaux. (Palmer and Ch Margaux) At $29.99 it’s A little bit more than I can spend everyday but it was a perfect Friday night treat. This review has been taxing and I think I’ve earned another bottle!!
