TESTIMONY:

A few years ago I talked to one of your agents to place an order and told him how I was using them. He told me that you would like to have a testimonial from me telling about my use of your cards. I procrastinated, but maybe now is a good day to send my story.

Back in the late 1980’s I worked as office manager at a Christian Bookstore, and one of the things we stocked was your cards. When I changed jobs I was disappointed I was no longer able to get them, so I ordered directly from you.

My new job was working at a college in the accounting department. On pay day there was a line of students waiting at the cashier's window. I sometimes went and offered a pop-open card to each student waiting. Some of the students appreciated them so much that they would come to my office and say I really need a message card today. And I was always delighted to share.

I enjoyed entertaining at home, and would put a card on each plate at the table, and each person would share their message before we said grace. From time to time at church I am the greeter, and so I use that chance to pass out cards (I miss your children's cards). We have up to 60 in attendance and some have shared that they have kept every one they have received and really enjoy them. Our church has a booth at the fair in our small town, so I ordered cards to pass out at the fair.

I retired 20 years ago, and wondered how I could still use pop open cards. A friend drove a school bus, so I asked if he had any students that would like a secret message card. He had some students that asked for one often. And his wife has a booth at a couple of farmer’s markets, so now she also shares pop-open cards.

I was at a doctor's appointment one day and gave one to the girls in the office, and that gave me an idea. I talked to the doctor and asked if he would like some to share with patients. He was happy for the offer, and has asked for more. He says they have several patients every week that take one.

Driver Dave loves using Pop Open Cards with the people he meets while driving his truck across the country. He carries the cards in his pocket because he believes God has someone who will need one and so often it is true!

If he doesn't have cards in his pocket he says he feels "naked" and has to go back to his truck to get some.

Debi went to a convenience store to get a drink. She saw a Pepsi delivery man in Front of the store and sensed God telling her to give him a Pop Open Card.

She argued in her head he was busy and probably didn’t want to be disturbed and didn’t give him a card.

On the way out of the store the urge from God continued. Debi said she didn’t have a card and got back in her car to leave.

But on the seat of her car was a card, so she knew God was serious. She got out of the car, approached the Pepsi man and told him she felt impressed by God to give him a card.

He thanked her, opened the card and then asked her who put her up to this. He was sure one of his friends had set him up and was looking around to see who it was.

The card was right on about what he was going through and he knew few knew what was happening in his life, so it had to be one of his friends who put Debi up to this.

Debi assured him she didn’t know him or any of his friends. She shared how God has urged her to give him a card.

He was so deeply touched to know God cared about him and wanted to give him a message of encouragement.

He couldn’t thank Debi enough. But she was already blessed by doing what God wanted and being part of a small miracle.

So often when a person receives a Pop Open Card and opens it tears will fall.

Why? God’s word inside the card is speaking to something in his or her life that is happening. The idea God knows and is listening to that need can be overwhelming in a positive way.

Not only is the person who receives the card touched, but the giver is blessed as well!

The original created of Pop Open Cards, Dave Yancey, sent us this reminder of the past with a couple of cards he made for The Salvation Army bell ringers at Christmas.

He share he has printed and distributed over 50 Million cards!

Imagine all those people inspired by words from God just for them!

Meet Eva. She lives in Costa Rica. She was handed one of our Spanish Pop Open Cards by a couple visiting the resort she works in.

She cried as she read the card and said it was just for her. She asked for more for her family and friends.

The couple gave Eva 60 more cards and were told how much Eva’s family loves the cards and felt they got an answer from God.

Of course, they want more cards.
