On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, an armistice was declared between the Allied nations and Germany, this day became to be known as Armistice Day. In 1953 a shoe store owner, Alfred King, wanted to expand this day to honor all Veterans. President Eisenhower signed it in to law in 1954. Happy Veteran's Day to all who have served this great Nation of ours. Thank you for your service!!!
