No plans and still looking for something fun to do? Stop on out to Mertz Family General Store for more great live music! Tonight we have Kevin Smith (Kevin Smith Acoustic Vocal Musician) playing from 5PM to 8PM.

Kevin is just a good 'ole boy who has been sharing his love of music since he was 8 years old. He is a local acoustic vocal musician who is amazing on both the 6 and 12 string guitars. Come on out and hear him jam out to some of your favorites by Bob Dylan, Chris Stapleton, Gordon Lightfoot, Tom Petty and Neil Young to name just a few.

Can't wait to see everyone again tonight... it is sure to be another great performance!

This weekend we are extremely excited to welcome Little Stevie Blue Shoes to the store! You have probably seen this amazingly talented artist perform throughout the Wilkesboro area with his rock band, Problem Child, but this weekend he comes to MFGS for an up-close and personal performance that is sure to get you out of your seats and rocking the night away! Come on out to Mertz Family General Store tonight for more great live music – we’ll be jamming out from 5PM to 8PM!

Tonight, we are excited to have Cody Cox to the store for his first performance here at MFGS. Cody is a traditional country artist with bluegrass and classic rock inspired roots. He has fronted a bluegrass band as well as vocals and guitar for several other rock bands. He's now peeling back the layers that makes up his musical identity to discover the music that got him started in the first place.

Be sure to come and help us give Cody a big McGrady welcome!

Come on out to Mertz Family General Store for another great night of live music! Tonight we have Thomas Rucker Music playing the store from 5PM to 8PM!

Thomas is an extremely talented singer, songwriter and recording artist who has an original set of acoustic rock, influenced by blues and folk. Give him a listen as he just released his 4th album: “Break The Ones” on Spotify and Apple Music and is sure to jam out to variety of other great cover hits mixed into his amazing setlist.

Starting at 5PM, MFGS Presents: William Massey w/ Special Guest, Lily Smith to the store! William has a southern roots, country, folk and bluegrass style like no other and will be jamming out to all of your favorite songs along with a few he wrote himself - you have to come check him out!

And if the night couldn't get any better, we have our very own MFGS team member, Lily Smith taking center stage to entertain you with a few of her very own favorites during set breaks! Please come on out and give your support - she has only been playing for a few weeks, but this amazing newcomer can sing!

What a difference a day makes?! All that rain yesterday and now this gorgeous day is upon us! So guess what - the BAR IS OPEN! So come on out and start your afternoon off right with an ice-cold beer and some good company!

At 5PM, we welcome singer and songwriter, Jeshua Hundt (Jeshua Hundt Music) to the lot. He will be jamming out to all the great country tunes you won't hear on the radio, along with some classic country and rock. He will be playing a set of great country tunes ranging from Waylon Jennings to Alan Jackson, with a mix of newcomers like Tyler Childers. This is an act you're not going to want to miss!

We have another fun and exciting day planned here at Mertz Family General Store!

Like we do every Saturday, we like to start the day off with a little college football and there are a ton of great games to watch. Some of the biggest rivalries take the stage at noon with huge match-ups between Ohio State at Penn State, Kentucky at Tennessee and TCU at WVU to name just a few. Come settle up by the TV with an ice-cold beer and cheer on your favorite team!

Then at 5PM, you won't want to miss the biggest Halloween Party in the area as we welcome back the 4 local legends from The Riverside - Southern Sounds as they rock another night away with an incredible set of country and southern rock jams!

Along with the great live music, we have something in store for all ages with games and prizes for a glow in the dark graveyard monster egg hunt, "what's in the bag?" and everyone's favorite: BEST COSTUME! We can't wait to see who/what everyone comes dressed as!

We've been blessed with another beautiful day here at Mertz Family General Store in McGrady, NC! So come on out and have some fun with us today - we have plenty to do - live music, food, shopping, college football and so much more!

Whether you want to relax and watch some college football, chill and enjoy the amazing fall foliage at our outdoor bar, or shop 'til you drop for those great deals on our line of fall décor - we have something for everyone to do (even leave the kids to us and let them enjoy making some fall arts and crafts!)

And let's certainly not forget tonight's amazing band- this is the night a lot of you have been waiting for! The Riverside - Southern Sounds will take the lot starting at 5PM to rock the night away with an incredible set of country and southern rock jams! Are you ready for some football?! We will have games playing all day at the store starting at 1PM with plenty of snacks and beer to satisfy all!

The Panthers take the field at 4:05PM - come on out and cheer on our hometown favorite as they take on the Arizona Cardinals! Coming off a huge victory over the Saints last week, the Panthers are on fire and are sure to bring that same intensity back to Bank of America Stadium!
