We’re thrilled to announce @sueproblema as our special guest artist for Record Fest next week! We were introduced to her via a SoundCloud upload back in 2016 called DIVAS- an all vinyl collection of 80’s boogie divas 🪩 Since then we’ve been fans of other mixes highlighting: Jazz, Mutant Disco and Cumbia. Artist Spotlight: Sue Problema was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Her obsession with collecting vinyl began in high school and evolved from punk rock to funk, electro, freestyle, international, post punk, mutant disco, boogie, and cumbia. She spent 11 years in the Bay Area and was one of the original members of the Chulita Vinyl Club Bay Area chapter. She’s had the pleasure of playing records all over the world - from LA, CA to Tokyo, Japan. She moved back to San Antonio in 2023 and hopes to share her love of music and records everywhere she goes 📡@losdiscoduro - vocoder version of the Afrobeat classic Soul Makossa
