Following in the footsteps of his great-grandfather, founder Steve Gillen opened up shop in 2008 in Blanco, in hopes of carrying on this sweet legacy. In 2021, he relocated to Lampasas and is thrilled to offer this amazing community a huge variety of bean-to-bar, single-origin chocolates, which pair beautifully with his selection of fine wines, craft beers, and gourmet goods that you won’t find a

nywhere else. The moment you step through our doors, you’ll not only be welcomed in by our signature Southern hospitality, but by the aroma of our artisan confections as well. We invite you stop by, take a look around, and enjoy a shopping experience unlike any other. Our main focus is to be a go-to place to relax and wind down with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Our Story

Gillen's Candies by Steve Gillen offers original natural products which include craft chocolate (bean to bar single origin), artisan confections from around the world and local artisan products in the market in Blanco, Texas. For more than five years, I have been keeping the family tradition of providing amazing chocolates and candies. The company was established by the late Frank E. Gillen and William Boney in 1895 as Gillen & Boney. The Lincoln Bar, Mr. Bigfellow, and Peanut Shortcake were some of the company's most popular products at the time. Today, I strive to continue the legacy of my ancestors by offering quality products that create an experience not found in most shops.
