Howdy, Rockhounds!
We’ve made it out for the New Year’s eve trip, and people are busy getting their feet stuck in the mud, looking for beautiful rock.

Howdy, rockhounds!
As usual for the northern Panoche Hills rockhounding, we will be starting Sundays field trip at the Chevron Travel Plaza at 15838 Paul Negra Rd, Firebaugh, CA 93622.

We will be meeting up at 9 AM, and will leave as soon as I’m ready. (for first timers, no worries, we will be finding great rocks within the first five minutes!)

If you’re worried about beating the traffic back to the bay area, don’t worry. Even if you’re as picky as I am, you should find a full load of Rocks by noon time.

As for food and such, you can pack your own snacks and lunch, or shop at the minimart, which has Subway’s sandwiches, and all sorts of snacks, and drinks.

The weather forecast is for a little precipitation the evening before, but not enough to make it more than just a little muddy.

Howdy, friends!
Just dropping y’all a line to let you know that I’m still kicking.
The blood thinners are slowly doing their work, and I’ll be back to all things rock, sometime next year.

Our first sale for Ms. Debbie was great, but there’s lots of rocks still in need of a new home. We’ll be helping her with two more sales days, this coming Friday and Saturday, November 11 & 12, from 8am to 4pm.
