“The 2022 Mercury Head sits in the glass with an opaque garnet core and a dark cardinal rim as tinges of purple shimmer from within. The nose is chock-full of aromatics—blue fruits, blackcurrant, licorice, baking spices, lavender and crushed gravel. Paired with a flooding palate with tremendous yet balanced weight, notes of blackberry, dark chocolate, espresso bean and blue and black fruits reverberate. Laird’s Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey

Laird’s production team first selects barrels to be aged for the 5-year Kentucky Bourbon. The extra aging imparts mellow, charred oak flavors, along with hints of brown sugar and caramel. After five-years of aging, barrels were selected to be transferred into recently emptied Apple Brandy barrels for a final finish.
The result is a truly remarkable and unique blend of Bourbon and Apple Brandy flavors that will leave you wanting more.

NAPOLEON CALVADOS CASK-FINISHED WHISKEY

Their Napoleon Calvados Finished Whiskey is aged five years. The first four years are in American white oak barrels that impart hints of vanilla, leather and spice. It is then harvested and enters Napoleon Calvados casks for another one to two years where it acquires soft notes of apple, pear and baking spices. The final whiskey imparts aromas of smoked oak, baked apple and butter caramel, a palate of apple pie, pear custard, baking spice and cinnamon, and has a dry finish with lingering spice. This whiskey is bottled at cask strength with a proof of 123.8.
