Today, September 17th, would have been the 83rd birthday of Heaven Hill Master Distiller Parker Beam, the namesake of their Parker’s Heritage annual release. Since 2013, Heaven Hill has released a limited edition bottle in his honor every year, raising over 1.3 million dollars for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) research. We raise a glass to you, Parker! 🥃💙

Today we think of Stagg as a high proof, heavy hitter, but there have been dozens of iterations of the famous name over the decades! This 80 proof version from the 1970s in the center is (by definition) the lowest proof found, but some of the modern GTS releases are 140 plus proof. What’s the best Stagg you’ve ever tried (George T, Jr., and vintage included) ? 🥃🦌
